this blog is about two people on opposite sides of the opinion fence. what we do is choose a topic, toss a coin to see which side each of us has to take, and argue our position. regardless of our own personal beliefs. sit back and watch the fun. if you'd like to submit a topic for discussion, contact us via email: opinionfreezone @ gmail.com
I've never had a problem with the people either; the 16 year olds with prams don't even see you, as they make beelines for the diva store. This is not at Southland; this is at an unnamed shopping centre beginning with F and ending in Stone. But oddly, I don't think I've ever seen the security guards to which you refer? Curious.
I've never had my bag snatched or wallet stolen at any market or street shopping strip in Australia. But to be fair, never either in a shopping centre. Or on a tram. Or in a restaurant or pub.
Finally, you're right about the lack of pollutants. It can be very annoying being outside and being assaulted by all manner of irritants. But ultimately, I find the amount of irritants in shopping centres outweigh those I find at street shopping strips or markets.
I rest my case. Next topic?
honey, sorry to be a bitch straight off like this, but i thought my argument was going to be i hate shopping centres? against the shopping centre, as opposed to arguing FOR a street shopping strip?goodness, fireworks before we've already started.
Just wanting to get the ball rolling. As we both have access to update the post, I suggest you can change it to suit yourself.
I think I hate shopping...
Wait no, I find shopping delightfully entertaining...
Adam's taking BOTH sides? It's not called "hesaid-hesaid", fella.I must say that I found the post quite amusing because it says it's been posted by Clokeeeey, and then it says: "I will go to Southland if I have to, ie to get my Chanel foundation at David Jones, ..."Ha! Clokeeeey wears make-up!That said, I've always embraced my stereotypically female side (don't hurt me for saying that, please, ladies - I said "stereotypically"!) when it comes to shopping. I could spent DAYS in a big shopping centre. I love it. I don't know why.Strangely (or not), I gravitate towards doughnut shops (whatever's going), bookstores, DVD departments, and toy stores. But I could just wander around for a full day even if there weren't such stores at the shopping centre in question.Discuss - making particular reference to the socio-economic area in which I live. Despite me not telling you what or where that is.
It's very difficult to find a good Thomas the Tank Engine roundabout at a street shopping strip. Then again, the one near the petshop at Chadstone has recently disappeared and been replaced by some vastly inferior Wiggles-themed ride. Can anyone tell me where it went? At least one small member of this family REALLY REALLY WANTS TO KNOW EVERY TIME WE GO SHOPPING.
clokey says it's gone to knox, i'm not craig.you heard it here first.
which has katie fisher as its face.http://www.theage.com.au/news/people/kates-spiritual-quest/2005/07/11/1120934180633.htmlgetting spooky possums.also there is a thomas that does his thing at malvern central. probably a bit closer for you?
Wow, that Thomas the Tank Engine really does move around. I checked the Glen yesterday and it's not there either.I must try Malvern Central next, or possibly Forest Hill Chase, just because it sounds like some sort of annual racing event. Thanks for your investigative efforts to date. I will report back as soon as I find it.
Just so you know, I went to Knox on the weekend, and the Thomas Train was back. Both my boys enjoyed their ride.I think it's probably time for you to post your next topic, given that last time you posted on this blog I ONLY HAD ONE CHILD
